Day 5, Monday 11 September
Rennes to Soudan, 64k.
After a hard day in the saddle, battling wind and rain, a little rest and recuperation is in order. No better place to do that than http://www.lamarmoire.com
A great place to stay, courtesy of Roger and Susan Palmer.
Quick comment from the short one with runty legs furiously peddling behind. Gliding is not exactly the word I’d use. The canal towpath was wet sand and there was a strong headwind. So really enjoying it but quite a challenge. Getting to grips with the nuances of the term undulating to describe the terrain! That hot tub was fantastic and a little corner of paradise in this charming b+b run by Brits. Yorkshire tea provided. Bliss!
Well done you ..& if you have short legs what do I have??! xx
blog would be even better if we could follow your progress on a map –
try using this and embed into the blog
